I wrote this piece in 1981, during the 4th year of my studies of Composition at the Catholic University of Argentina (Faculty of Music), during a partial exam. At recess, we were eating figs from the lush fig tree in the old house's courtyard located in the neighborhood of San Telmo, Buenos Aires, where the Faculty was at that time.
